Neil’s Tree

Painted during Plein Air Grand Marias this year. On Artists Point there is this triangular pine that resident artist Neil Sherman paints and other artists just coined it his tree. I set up just before sundown and liked the up and across angles like a Mondrian painting. I stuck with a limited palette and treated later to a full Harvest Moon on Minnesota’s “Gitchi Gummi.”
