Morning Mist on Grand Marais

This painting I created during the Plein Air Grand Marias Festival. The whole week was fog and rain and Scottish Mist. I set out early and had to portage my gear over the breakers in the bay. I completed the painting just as the rain started to fall. Unfortunately the acrylic never set up on substrate and by the time I got back to my vehicle the painting was unsalvageable. This was my only photo from the experience. I caught a state record fish, took a photo of it and then it fell off the line back into the water. Jimmy
