My Grandmother Helen’s gift of a yellow satin glass vase was the inspiration for this oil painting on fine linen. Wax was used with the oil to mimic the soft vase surface on the linen. I love the strokes, as I am an eminent pastelist; so now using strokes with oil bars creates extra texture in this expressionism.
