Oil on gallery wrap canvas. The inspiration was from a trip to Spain where I attended Las Falles, a spring festival and street parade on St. Joseph’s Day. The streets are paraded with ladies in beautiful brocade dresses and lace, and process in hundred’s by town, young to old. The “debutantes” or young ladies present flowers at the end of the route. I was attracted to the gloved arm extended to the central “Belle” and her ribboned waist! The next lady is older, in a black veil, and the touch of a hem escapes the canvas.
