Billups received a mural commission in 2007 for a 6x16 foot mural of Mount San Antonio, for the college of the same name. She drove to Walnut California and found an empty 2nd story parking lot, and was able to lay out the 6 by 16 foot panels on the pavement, and did the entire Mount SAC mountain portion "en plein air". The clouds she created from over a dozen studies she had brought with her from her home in North Idaho, and the Eucalyptus trees were gathered from all over the county, digitally, and recreated in a friend's studio. She chose the Eucs, because they are literally from the San Diego border almost to Oregon, and from the Pacific Ocean to the Sierras!
