It Comes in Waves

This is a painting that came from my head/heart during an incredibly difficult week of loss and pain in our extended family. I had no idea what it was going to be when I started it (it was just large dark shapes). As the week progressed and approached the funerals it started to take form and eventually light and color found it's way into the painting. It is called "It Comes In Waves." I'm so thankful I was able to turn to the easel when I most needed it. It is so important to get quiet and be with our grief as we work to find the light.
