Serenity

This oil painting was done this year from a photograph taken many years ago at a local plantation. I was inspired then, and it's always been in the back of my mind. Finally the time was right, et voila! The leaning, twisting live oak tree reaches over the still lake water, creating reflections and shadows, a serene setting for the pair of silently gliding swans.
