Journey to the Blue

I was struck by the quiet and still beauty of the Vermillion Cliffs reflected into the Colorado River, as I witnessed many raft boats getting dropped into this location for their journey down this magnificent blue river through the red desert canyons. I was struck by rainbow of colors mother nature provided for my artistic delight and the stillness of the river at this location. I painted this larger studio painting from my plein air painting of this area.
