Apple of My Eye

What a glorious fall day it was! I was so lucky to have the chance to spend the afternoon with my grandchildren in a Wisconsin apple orchard. My young grandson was proud to be able to climb the ladder to pick and eat his own apples. I tried to capture the joy on his face in this oil painting, composed in Photoshop from several photo references (I could never have asked him to hold a pose for very long that fun day!)
