Embracing the Gray

Oil on linen. When Covid struck I spent a lot of time at home away from my studio to protect studio partner and so embarked on my self portrait project. This one was the first in the series that entails from baby to age 65. I also decided to let the gray go, as did many during that time and so I am Embracing the Gray. The portrait is also more along the lines of gray in color and I was also embracing all the wrinkles and saggy skin that accompanies with aging. It was cathartic for me to take this project on.
